In this blog we hope to give you more information on some of the Riser Recliners we supply and some general information on what to think about when you are looking for a riser recliner chair.

To start with, A riser reclineris a big purchase, It is a mobility product and could improve your quality of life immeasurably, allow you more independence and better quality of life.

If you have never used a riser recliner before, they do take a little getting used to. As the chair rises you slowly, it can be a little disorientating as you feel you may slip out of the recliner, but all the recliners stop as soon as you remove your finger from the button. Many newer style models allow the back to move backwards as the recliner is rising, allowing the user to stand more upright when exiting the recliner rather than hunched forward.

There are basically 2 different style of riser recliners. The is a single motor and a Dual motor.

The difference between the 2 is quite simple.

The single motor raises the footrest and when the footrest reaches a certain level, then the back will start to recliner. Depending upon the manufacturer you choose, the height the footrest comes up before the back reclines will vary slightly.

The Dual motor allows you t work the footrest and back independently, which allow total versatility. The Dual motor riser recliner usually has a 4 or 5 button handset, So it is a little more complicated and my not be suitable all customers. The single motor recliner has a much simpler handset and is usually a 2 or 3 button handset. Some handsets have a cutout key which stops the grand kids messing on your pride and joy when the come to visit.

Almost all riser recliner now have a backup battery pack, they are only designed to work very occasionally of the backup pack, and will allow you to get out of the recliner should you have a power cut. You will need a plug socket within a couple of meters of the recliner to plug in the transformer box.

As with all furniture, the recliners do come in different sizes, so please check all measurements to ensure that you order the correct size, The easiest way to do this is to compare the dimensions on a website to a chair you are comfortable sitting in now.

The smallest recliner we supply is the La-z-Boy Petit Hartford, This has an17″ seat width so is ideal for someone small in stature.

The next largest is the massively popular range of Lisbon Riser recliners. These have an 19″ seat width and are a dual motor product. We have this recliner in stock in Green, Natural, Terrecotta, Sage, Chocolate, Antique, Caramel and Claret. These recliner are priced at £599 Ex Vat. As they are a La-z-Boy products, these stunning and very comfortable recliners come with a 2 year warranty on the motors, instead of a 12 month warranty.

If you are looking for a riser recliner ideal for putting your feet up to watch TV the Boston single motor riser may be right up your street. Available from stock in Blue, Brown, Green and Red. This recliner obviously risers, but is designed with the ideal TV viewing position on mind. It is made from a thick and very hard wearing Jacquards fabric, and comes with free arm caps and anti-macasser.

The larger range of recliners are the La-z-Boy Cuban and Avenger, both different styles, but both very popular and comfortable.

Then for those who are looking for absolute luxury, we offer a range of leather riser recliner, in various sizes and colours. The recliners fully recline to a bed and have pocket sprung seating for total comfort.

Many of the recliners we supply are available in more colour options, but we just tend to stock the best seller.  The leathers are available in approx 40 colours and delivery on special order is approx 6 weeks.

Many of the people who purchase a Riser Recliner have some sort of long term disability. If you are buying the recliner for yourself or a person with a long term disability, The user is usually entitled to Zero Rated VAT, meaning the can reclaim from us the value of the VAT (17.5% at current rates)

It is a very simple process, When the order is placed, the VAT is added the the price, When we receive back a completed Zero Rated VAT Form, we will then refund the VAT within 14 days.

The Zero Rated VAT Form, can be downloaded from our website. It is a basic form that asks for the users and address, any 1 of the user long term disabilities, then sign, date and return the form to us.

The cheapest recliner we supply is the Cream Relaxateeze “Primo” swivel recliner, priced at just £189 including VAT and delivery. Of course because of the price of this recliner it is a massive seller, and customers do buy in singles and in bulk. It is a mid-sized, leather faced recliner. But you may be asking, “What is a leather faced recliner?”.  Simply put, it means that when you are sat in the recliner, all the parts that your body touches, i.e. the seat, armrest, inside-back and footstool top are all genuine leather, the outside-back and side borders are usually a vinyl match. The colour match on the leather/vinyl recliner is usually identical and vinyl match does not mean that the recliner will not last as long.

Other high sellers are the Rimini and the Avanti recliners. Both priced at £199 including VAT and delivery, they both offer terrific value and different sitting options. The Rimini is available in Black, Cream, Green, Burgundy and Dark Brown, all with a Nutmeg Wood finish. This medium size recliner has a popular lumbar support at the bottom of the back. Customers have contacted us saying that it is the most comfortable recliner they have ever sat in. The Avanti recliner is not quite as padded but is very comfortable, and features a removable head cushion. The Avanti is available in Cream, Brown and Black. Both models include a footstool as standard.

Another recliner supplied by Relaxateeze is the beautiful Murano recliner.  This recliner is available in Cream and Brown.  It has the very popular and modern round base on the recliner and footstool. It also has a sprung headrest. The round base does, due to its design, give an overall more supportive sit.

We are as a company very excited about the new range of recliner that has recently been added to our website, Premier Swivel Recliners. We have a range of recliners starting with the more compact Rio swivel recliner in Brown and Cream, right through to the Neptune and Mars recliner, that really are stunning at jaw dropping price. We have bought large quantities of the range of recliners offered by Premier and even we have been shocked by the popularity of these recliner. The Rio sells very well because of the modern design and slim lines, for those who maybe are tight for space. But the success of the Neptune and Mars has been amazing. They are both in full Italian leather with a patented mechanism, which unlike cheaper models allows you to lock the recliner without having to lean forward. They tighten using the round knobs on the side of the recliner.

Due to demand we have introduced a range of Fabric swivel recliners, But we as a company didn’t want to go out and source the cheapest swivel recliner, we wanted to offer you the best. And the Elano range of recliner really are proving very popular with the buying public. All the range of Elano recliners we offer have the popular finger trigger recline action. You just have to pull the trigger on the side of the arm, and the recliner will then recline and lock into your preferred reclined position. Again all the Elano range come with a matching footstool. These recliners are fiitted as standard with a 10 point massage system. There are 6 massager located in the back, and there is a heat pad at the bottom of the back, and there is 4 massagers in the seat. The massage system can be set to pulse and wave setting to give you an all over massage, and the massagers can even be worked in zones, just incase you wanted to massage a particular area of the body. The massage system also has a cut-off feature, were it does shutdown after 30 mins, just incase you fall asleep in the chair for hour. Simply press any button the handset to restart the massage.

Conveniently located under the left hand armpad is the Cool Box, This is not a fridge but it does get cold and will keep your beer and soft drink cold. And the Cool Chair also comes with a telephone so you don’t need to move for hours on end. Ideal for the upcoming Euro championships
